About Us
Firm Solutions Associates was formed in 1992 as an independent company dedicated to the production, implementation and operation of easily understood Quality Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems for organisations with less than 100 employees. (Now known as BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and BS EN ISO 14001:2004 respectively).
As part of the inclusive service provided to our clients we also produce Health and Safety documentation including Health & Safety Policies, Practices, Records and Training programmes. We keep clients up to date with the ever-changing legislation relevant to their activities.
We also work in the Construction Industry and have represented clients as Planning Supervisor on a number of projects under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
We have addressed the recent changes in the Security Industry, documented in the Private Security Act 2001, by providing guidance in implementation, training and auditing as required by several Security Industry Codes of Practice. The requirements of these Codes of Practice are frequently integrated into the security company's Quality Management System. We support security companies in their application for submission to the S.I.A. for inclusion in the S.I.A. Approved Contractors Scheme.
We also advise on: active and passive fire protection, general auditing to industry standards and witness testing of product performance results.
We use experienced assessors, auditors and consultants with broad based industry experience and backgrounds in small company management.
We do not advertise. New business is almost always by referral from satisfied clients. We endeavour to retain clients and still work for many of the companies from our first year of trading in 1992.
