BS EN ISO 9001:2000 - BS EN ISO 14001:2004 – BS OHSAS 18001:2007
Q. What is BS EN ISO 9001:2000?
A. BS EN ISO 9001:2000 sets out guidance and a structure enabling you to organise your Company’s quality management in order to ensure that you can a) comply with the requirements of your documented Quality Policy and b) fulfil your customers’ contract requirements to their satisfaction. Process information that used to be kept in your head or was recorded by a variety of methods and in various locations is documented, controlled, updated and accessible.
BS EN ISO 9001:2000 allows you to measure and continually improve your Company’s performance. Reviews and Audits are scheduled to ensure that your documented Procedures are correctly complied with.
Q. Can you produce our Quality Manual and Procedures within 30 days?
A. Very unlikely. We will visit you at the relevant location/s in order to understand your Company and how it operates before writing your Quality Manual and Procedures. This is done with the co-operation of your management and employees and ensures that the Quality Management System accurately and simply reflects your Company’s personnel, documentation and operations.
Q. How long will it take from start to Certification?
A. It varies depending on the size of the Company, the complexity of its operations, the availability of Management time, existing operating procedures and documentation and many other factors. As a very rough guide, the average time taken to document your Quality Management System may be as follows: If you have a Company with less than 20 employees it may take 2 to 3 months; if you have between 20 and 50 employees it may take 3 to 6 months. If your requirements are more urgent than this we will delegate two assessors to carry out the work.
